Meet Dr. Kimberly Janson
Kim Janson is the President and CEO of Janson Associates, a firm dedicated to “unleashing people’s potential globally”.
Her global firm assists executives, teams, and organizations in a variety of ways including executive coaching, strategic planning, large- or small-scale change efforts, M&A work, cultural transformation, embedding talent systems, driving higher levels of business performance, leadership and management program development/delivery, and many other ways.
Kim also serves as an executive coach and instructor at the Harvard Business School.
BACKGROUND
Kim has been on the ground working with leadership teams in over 40 countries for more than 25 years. She has hosted and successfully conducted leadership programs in Singapore, China, Malaysia, Russia, New Zealand, England, France, Canada, Holland, Italy, Mexico, Chile, Spain, Dubai, Australia, and the United States.
Janson Associates works with firms from start-up level to Fortune 100 companies in all industries.
PAST WORK
Prior to establishing Janson Associates, Kim was the Chief Talent Management Officer at the H. J. Heinz Company. While there, she was responsible for leadership development, organizational effectiveness, learning, diversity, change management, performance management, succession, and executive coaching. Kim joined Heinz in June 2008 and through her five years at Heinz, the company was recognized as the industry leader for top talent with more than 30 quarters of consecutive growth.
Kim came to Heinz from Bank of America where she served as the Senior Vice President of Leadership Development for the Global Wealth Business. Prior to that, she was at Hasbro, Inc. as the Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Learning and Diversity responsible for creating and building out those functions. Kim began her corporate career at Bank of Boston followed by BancBoston Mortgage Corporation, after teaching high school in Rhode Island.
EDUCATION
Kim holds bachelor’s degrees in English and History from the URI. She achieved a MA in Teaching from RI College, and a MS in Organizational Development from Lesley University. Kim received her PhD in Business Administration, specializing in Executive Leadership, from NCU.
Kim’s dissertation and ongoing research is on Determining Leadership Potential.
